I am a former investigative journalist, living in New Zealand. I have worked on newspapers, radio and TV and won many awards for my work. Now I write books for kids. My stories and books are used in classrooms around the world.

I believe in the power of good journalism to highlight injustice, unfairness and dark deeds in the world. Journalists are the 'watchers on the wall' making sure everyone from governments to big corporations and individuals treat people humanely and with respect.  Bad things can only flourish when no one is watching, when no one is asking questions. 

Whether it's something that affects our planet, like climate change, or something that affects your school or community, you can make a difference by keeping your eyes and ears open, asking questions and, if necessary, taking action.

That's what Caitlin does - with a passion! She's the main character in the Viola Vincent Reporting series.
